NICHOLAS COLIA is a Brooklyn-based filmmaker, current thesis student at NYU Graduate Film School where he received the Martin Scorsese and Maurice Kanbar Scholarships. His comedy short Alex and the Handyman (below) won the National Board of Review Student Grant, the 1st Place King Award for all Graduate Films at NYU’s Wasserman Awards, and played multiple film festivals across the country. This summer, his latest movie Untitled Short Film About White People played at the Brooklyn Film Festival and Palm Springs International Shortfest where it won the Audience Award for Best Student Short. He is currently working on two new TV projects, a feature script, and a second feature script with NYU alum Laura Terruso. He is also exhausted. He is repped by Cullen Conly at ICM Partners.
